Terms & Subscription Terms.

The “FakeCheck” app is provided by Connexa GmbH, Wilerstrasse 82, 8370 Sirnach, Switzerland (see Legal Notice). These terms apply to the use of the app and all related services. Apple’s standard end-user license agreement (Apple Standard EULA) applies in addition.

FakeCheck analyzes the images and links you submit using multiple independent AI models and provides an assessment (REAL, FAKE, or UNSURE) including a confidence value, indicators, and — depending on the mode — online sources.

Every assessment is a probability-based machine analysis, not proof. It is no substitute for forensic examination, journalistic research, or legal advice, and no basis for medical or financial decisions. Don’t make serious decisions based solely on a FakeCheck verdict.

Without a purchase, you currently get 3 checks per week. We may adjust this quota; what the app displays is what applies.

FakeCheck Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription:

• ›Pro · Week — 4.99 per week.
• ›Pro · Year — 39.99 per year, depending on the offer with a 3-day free trial.

Prices are shown in your local currency in the App Store; the price stated there applies. Payment is processed via your Apple account. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged to your Apple account within 24 hours before expiry.

Cancellation: anytime via your Apple account — iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → FakeCheck → Cancel Subscription, or directly at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription of the same tier.

Pro includes unlimited checks within a fair-use limit of currently 30 checks per day, cross-checking with multiple models, push notifications/Live Activity, and your full history.

• ›Lifetime — one-time purchase (79.99) that permanently unlocks all Pro features. No subscription, no renewal.
• ›Credit pack — one-time purchase (4.99) of 20 extra checks. Credits are tied to your account, non-transferable, and used before the free quota.

When a valid invite code is redeemed, both sides receive 3 extra checks each. The following applies:

• ›Only newly created accounts can redeem a code.
• ›Only one code can be redeemed per account.
• ›You can’t redeem your own code.
• ›In case of abuse (e.g. mass account creation), codes and credits may be revoked.

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are governed by the App Store terms and can be requested directly from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). Once the analysis service begins, any right of withdrawal for that individual service lapses, to the extent permitted by law.

• ›Only check content you are entitled to use.
• ›No content that violates third-party rights or applicable law (e.g. depictions of abuse).
• ›No circumvention of technical protection measures, no automated bulk requests.
• ›FakeCheck verdicts must not be presented as official or court-admissible evidence.

The analysis reflects the current state of the art, but comes with no guarantee that the assessments are accurate or complete. To the extent permitted by law, liability for slight negligence and for damages arising from decisions made on the basis of FakeCheck verdicts is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability (e.g. for intent and gross negligence) remains unaffected.

There is no entitlement to uninterrupted availability; we reserve the right to perform maintenance and change the feature set.

We may amend these terms with effect for the future, for instance for new features or changes in the law. We will inform you of material changes in the app. The current version is always available at this address.

Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules; mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain reserved. Consumers in the EU can find the platform for online dispute resolution at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
